Meet the Pasadena Team Behind Warden Gate Repair Pasadena

You don’t get a random subcontractor when you call us. You get a named technician whose photo arrives on your phone before the truck does. Warden Gate Repair Pasadena runs as an independently owned location inside the Threshold Group family, and the crew that shows up at your driveway lives and works in this city. Most of us have been fixing gates in Pasadena long enough to know which neighborhoods have the oldest LiftMaster operators and which hillside properties fight gravity every day. We’re gate people. That’s the whole job.

Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has been tearing down gate operators since 2011 and has factory training on LiftMaster, FAAC, and BFT systems. He’s the guy we send when a gate motor (the box that slides or swings your gate automatically) loses its mind and nobody can figure out why. He keeps a thermal camera in the van for diagnosing overheating circuit boards, which has saved more than a few Pasadena homeowners from paying for a full replacement they didn’t need. Off the clock, Marcus rebuilds old motorcycles in his garage, mostly because he “likes problems that fight back.”

Elena R. – Senior Installer

Elena does the heavy work: slide gate tracks, swing gate hinges, and full operator replacements where the old unit has to come out clean before the new one goes in. She’s certified on Viking, Ghost Controls, and DoorKing equipment and knows Pasadena’s varied property layouts better than most real estate agents. Her specialty is hillside gates, the kind where the grade shifts and a poorly set post will bind the gate within a year. When she’s not wrestling a 400-pound gate leaf back into alignment, she’s teaching her two kids how to fix their own bikes.

Dana K. – Service Coordinator

Dana is the voice on the phone at 3 a.m. when your gate won’t close and you’re wondering if you should just park across the street and hope for the best. She dispatches our Pasadena crew, builds the schedule, and makes sure every customer gets a technician name and photo before the visit. She’s worked in home service logistics for nine years and has a talent for translating “the gate made a weird noise and then stopped” into something our techs can actually use. Dana keeps a fountain pen on her desk and writes every dispatch note by hand before it goes into the system.

Devin P. – Apprentice

Devin joined us two years ago after a stint in commercial building maintenance, and he’s working through his gate operator certifications methodically. He rides along with Marcus most days, handling diagnostics, safety edge testing, and the jobs that require someone small enough to reach wiring inside a tight operator box. He’s the one who asks why a lot, which we encourage, because a technician who stops asking why is the one who starts guessing. Devin’s current project is restoring a 1970s sliding gate at his parents’ Altadena house, mostly to prove to himself he can.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this page operates under the Threshold Standard, no exceptions. That means each tech is background-checked, identity-verified, and photo-badged before they ever knock on your door. You get their name and photo sent to your phone ahead of the visit, and when they arrive, the badge matches the face. It’s a simple system but it removes the single biggest worry people have about letting a stranger onto their property. The owner, Cole Rafferty, enforces the standard personally. He started this Pasadena shop because he figured a warden is trusted to watch over a place and keep it secure, and that is the whole idea behind a gate. Turns out the same rule applies to the people who repair them. Whether Marcus is tracing a short in a FAAC board or Elena is resetting a Viking operator on a hillside, the standard stays the same: written price before work starts, the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing, and a technician who has earned the right to be there. Every job, every visit, every time.

Call (626) 657-5425 and Dana will have a named, photo-badged technician scheduled for you. Free estimates, written pricing, and a real person on the phone 24/7.
